Once you have signed up for an account,
you can Add an Event using the EventID and Passcode given to you by the Host of the party.

Why do I need to use my email address? Simply for 2 reasons, firstly so that the Event Host knows who is making the music requests, and secondly, so that no one can create a fake account.

Welcome to the interactive Music Request System

Flashpoint's Philosophy: We understand that a typical event will have many different people with many different tastes in music. This is why we try to play a wide variety of music and cater to the dance floor and guest requests, of course the Event Host always has final say in what does and does not get played.

Due to the fact that the DJ can only play a certain amount of songs during the night, we have limited the amount of requests to 30 for the Party Hosts and 5 for each guest.

Before you begin: To avoid confusion with 2 different lists, before you start looking at songs, you must decide to either choose your songs online or on the printed Wedding Planner provided by Flashpoint.

To begin, simply click through the tabs above and choose which songs you want to "add" to the request list.

Top Requested Songs:
These are songs that are commonly requested and will help to jog your memory if you can't think a song to request. Please limit your songs requests to 20 or less.

Enter Your Own Songs:
If you can't find a song you're looking for in the Top Requested Songs, you may enter your own song request here.

Special Dances:
This area is for picking that special dance, such as the "First Dance", "Father/Daughter Dance" or "Bouquet Toss".

Guest Requests:
This list is only visible to you the owner of the event. You will be able to see what music requests your guests have made and then go through them to add the songs to the master list. This way if there are songs that you really don't want to hear you have the power to say yes or no. It will also give you an idea of what type of music your guests like to dance to.

Change Event:
We do thousands of events a year! So, it's quite possible that you may be coming to more than one of our events or you might be one of our Customers! Just click here to change to another event you have requests for.

Logout:
When you are finished with your requests, simply 'logout' and return to the Flashpoint Productions Website.

These are some of the most requested songs at most parties. Just click on one of the coloured buttons to add the song to your playlist. Remember, if you just want a wide variety, you don't need to click on everything. We're very good at reading the dance floor and taking requests at your event.

HOW DOES THE INTERACTIVE MUSIC REQUEST SYSTEM WORK?

Your online requests are one of several ways in which we can get your input to make your party a success. We will try to play as many requests as possible made through the iMRS, however there are several factors which may not allow us to play EVERY request made online. These factors include:

  • Amount of time allocated for music
(typically 15-17 songs per hour, approx. 65-75 songs per 4 hr night without any other activities taking place)
  • Number of Online Requests made
  • Number of People who made the Online Requests
  • Number of Live Requests made at the event
  • How the dance floor responds to the requests
  • Whether the Event Host 'okays' the online requests

Due to the fact that the DJ can only play a certain amount of songs during the night, we have limited the amount of requests to 30 for the Party Hosts and 5 for each guest.

Our goal is to make your event as successful as possible.

If you are a Guest how does the "iMRS" work?

1) SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT
If you don't already have an account
with Flashpoint, simply go to the Login section of this page and enter your Email address, First Name, Last Name and a Password. Then click on "Sign me up".

First time users will need to have their email address validated. If you log in, and receive the email verification prompter (in red), simply type your email address in the box provided. When an email arrives in your In Box, follow the instructions to validate your email. Once done, your account with iMRS is complete. You will only need to do this once.

If you do have an account, simply enter your email and password at the login section of this page.

2) ADDING AN EVENT
Once you are logged in, if you are attending an event that is hosted with Flashpoint's iRMS, you can add this event to your account. This event will be given it’s own "Event ID#" and an "Event Code". You can add as many events as you are attending. Each event will have it's own ID# and Code.

3) REQUESTING A SONG
Requesting a song is as easy as browsing through our librararies and clicking the "Add" button, or you can enter the name of a song if you don't see what you are looking for. Only you and the Event Host can see your requests, and you cannot see anyone else’s requests.

Due to the fact that the DJ can only play a certain amount of songs during the night, we have limited the amount of requests to 30 for the Party Hosts and 5 for each guest.

5) MESSAGES
Messages can be sent to the Event Host.
Like your requests, only the Event Host can see your messages.

If you are an Event Host you have more options.

A) The Event Host can log in using their email and passcode provided to them by Flashpoint.

They will still need to validate their email if it is their first time using the sytem.

B) The Event Host can see all the requests made by the guests.

C) The Event Host can also choose their own song requests and categorize them into "Must Play”, “Please Play”, and “Do Not Play".

Due to the fact that the DJ can only play a certain amount of songs during the night, we have limited the amount of requests to 30 for the Party Hosts and 5 for each guest.

D) The Event Host also has the final decision on what 'guest requests' are actually used.

E) The Event Host can send messages to the guests who log in. If you decide that your event is a 'themed party' the guests may now choose their requests accordingly.
